BC Coastal & Open Water Navigation
Coastal Navigation & Open Water Tidal Planning Course
ROYAL YACHTING ASSOCIATION
Marine Radio (VHF) Operator Certificate of Competence Course
These three, one day classroom based courses will cover the theoretical aspects and pre assessment requirements of the BCU 4 Star (Coastal Navigation) and/or the 5 Star (Open Water) sea kayak awards.
The RYA certificated VHF operators course covers all aspects of the use of Short Wave communication on the sea, and is now a prerequisite for BCU 4 Star assessment.
Participants may attend one, two or all three days. However anyone wishing to undertake journies on the sea using a kayak or small boat would find the technical and theoretical aspects not only useful, but essential, for safe travel in the marine environment!
