Hi all
Apologies for the long delay since the last blog post but I’ve been busy rounding up the 2018 season and planning 2019 courses and trips, as some of you may have seen on Facebook and in the last newsletter.

Autumn 2018 round up
September saw 2 ‘specialist skills’ weekends, one in Pembrokeshire, on launching and landing in surf, and the other in Anglesey, on dynamic water handling. In October, I ran a series of BC courses, over an 8 day period, in Anglesey, with ISKGA and LNT courses intertwined. The participants seemed to enjoy themselves and learn a lot and, indeed, a couple of them gave me glowing reviews on social media so many thanks to them.
More courses followed in November, with 2 x Smash n Bash in Edinburgh, and then I disappeared off to the sun for a week for a much needed ‘end of season’ rest!
December is usually pretty quiet but I ran a 2-day RYA diesel engine course down in Twickenham and am off to Pembroke this weekend for a 4* Surf (Surf Kayak Leader) assessment and another Smash n Bash.

2019 Winter and Spring schedule
New for 2019 is my series of land-based day courses being run at Leicester Outdoor Pursuits Centre throughout January and February (details can be found on FB or on my website):

March will see me running an Advanced Sea Kayak Leader training course in Jersey and also the first training weekend for the lucky Greenland adventurers. Details of the Greenland trips can be found on my website (places still available for both trips):

Finally, in April, I am repeating the October courses schedule but this time in Pembroke, again details on the website:

If you’ve not signed up for my top kayak repair tips and ‘how to’ videos then there’s still time (sign up not available from mobile devices):

That’s all for now.

Happy Paddling!
